2024 Project Update

For our 2024 project, we focused on expanding STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) opportunities at our school. This includes the addition of robotics kits, weather labs and classroom STEM kits.

We encountered some delays due to staffing changes and technology infrastructure issues during the first semester. We’re now looking forward to a more manageable timeline that we believe will set the stage for a successful integration of new technology at Holy Rosary School.

Thank you for your support of this project!

2023 Project Update

PRESCHOOL & K-8 Walking TRACK PROJECTS

Our project for the 2023 Gala was to build a riding track around the Preschool playground and a walking track around the Kindergarten through 8th grade playground. We were thrilled to see the Preschool track go in, but unfortunately, the surface did not meet our expectations or the promised quality. As soon as the weather allows this spring or summer (2025), we will be replacing it with asphalt to create a durable and long-lasting track. We’re confident that this upgrade will meet our original vision for the space.

While we did not raise enough funds through the Fund-an-Item process to complete both tracks, we sought out other avenues of financial support. We’re excited to share that we were awarded a grant from the Welborn Foundation, The Upgrade grant, which focuses on wellness through nutrition and physical activity—an ideal fit for our project! We’re currently in the first year of a three-year process, with funding for the walking track coming in Year Two. Our Wellness Committee is eager to work through the grant process as part of our ongoing efforts to promote the health and wellness of our school and parish community. We will continue to provide updates as these initiatives progress.
