Sacraments

Sacraments

In the seven Sacraments, we celebrate through ritual and symbol the Lord’s special presence in individual lives.

The Sacramental life of the Church is an integral part of our Catholic faith (Catholic Catechism).

Sacraments of Initiation

These Sacraments lay the foundation of every Christian life. The sharing of the divine nature given to people through the grace of Christ bears a certain likeness to the origin, development and nourishment of natural life.

Sacraments of Healing

The Lord Jesus Christ, Physician of our souls and our bodies, has willed that His Church continue His work of healing and salvation. This is the purpose of these two Sacraments.

Sacraments of Service

These Sacraments are directed toward the salvation of others. They confer a particular mission in the Church and serve to build up the people of God.

The Most Holy Sacraments are a moment of God touching our lives in a special way and opportunities for growth in our relationship with God.

The Sacraments are not isolated actions or magical moments, but call for continuing conversion toward a greater union with God.

We invite you to learn more about the Sacraments by continuing your journey and reading about all of the Seven Sacraments.
