The Bruté Society, named after the first Bishop of our Diocese, Simon Bruté, is an honorary association of Southwestern Indiana Catholic lay persons. The Bruté Society was established in 1990 as an official activity of the Diocese of Evansville, Indiana. The award serves as a way to honor those nominated by their parishes as outstanding models of Christian Stewardship throughout their lives. Such service could be to other charities/institutions besides Holy Rosary as well.
