Welcome to Holy Rosary Parish
A Message from The Pastor
Saturday, 15 November 2008 00:00
Dear Friends,

I am writing this note of encouragement on Tuesday morning, November 11th, Veterans Day. We are a country engaged in war on two fronts, in Iraq and Afghanistan. I sometimes wonder if we are so focused on our own troubles or interests that we do not give enough thought and prayer for those who have given so much to preserve the freedoms we now enjoy. At a time when many of us are focused on our own financial burdens, there are many families struggling mightily trying to make ends meet as the primary provider of their family is serving in the Reserves or National Guard. Some of us are so focused on the day to day struggles of our own children and grandchildren that we forget about those who have children and grandchildren in harms way.

The most we can do for our Veterans and those serving in the Armed Forces it to support them first in prayer. Did you know that the Tuesday evening mass here at Holy Rosary is a special mass to pray for peace in the world and the protection of our men and women in the Armed Forces? I hope you will consider joining us in prayer at 6:00 pm each Tuesday evening. This week, Fr. Jim Endress, who served as a Military Chaplain, will be our Celebrant.

Christ’s peace,
Fr. Bernie Etienne
