Youth Ministry

T
he mission of Youth Ministry at Holy Rosary is based on the Holy Scriptures. When our Youth Ministry team was trying to figure out the “Why?” of why we have Youth Ministry at our parish, we found our answer in Jesus’ words. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus commissioned his disciples to, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always until the end of the age.” So, as Jesus commanded this of his disciples, he also commands this of us today. It is our responsibility and privilege to lead others to Christ and to help each other on our faith journeys. And we are to always remember that Jesus is with us, helping us along the way. All are welcome!

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

Young Adult Ministry
Young adulthood is a passage of life when new decisions are made, paths are taken and a place is established in one's community. Young Adult Ministry is for those in their twenties and thirties, singles & young families. Young Adults are parents, college students, doctors, lawyers, teachers, landscapers, writers, and every other career.

YAM entails four tasks: developing a personal identity, relationships, a meaning of work, and a spiritual life. YAM encourages people to interact among themselves, with the parish and beyond. YAM will strive to provide opportunities through programs and resources for young adults to explore ways to integrate their faith in their lives and through their life transitions.
We meet weekly from 7-8PM in the Parish Hall.
Upcoming Meetings: Sept. 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th.
Adult Youth Ministry Mentors

Community Life Mentors
Adults involved in this committee are active in youth nights, youth group, activities, events and retreats. The mission of this group is based on John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”

Advocacy Mentors
Adults involved in this committee help with postcards, letters, cards, bulletin information, and office help. The mission of the group is based on Luke 10:16 “He who hears you, hears Me...”

Prayer & Worship Mentors
Adults involved with this committee pray for the young people by name on a daily basis and meet once a month to pray together as a prayer team. The mission of this group is based on “To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 1: 11-12

All adults in the parish are invited and encouraged to be a part of one of the above Mentor Teams. Contact Angie to get involved.
